The Stories of Ice sweater pattern was inspired by the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. The design is rooted in the endless variety of ice— every form of ice has its own story to tell. I wanted to create the perfect winter pullover for my outdoor trips in my favorite colors—green, blue, and white—which are prevalent in the Lake George area during winter.

The yoke sweater is knitted top down, seamlessly in the round. Short rows are worked at the bottom of the yoke to improve fit.

Please note that the fingering-weight yarn by Holst Garn used for this design blooms substantially after washing. Test your gauge first by knitting a swatch, and adjust the needle size as needed.
