Stormy Skies
This shawl can be worked in a single yarn. I show it here using two complementary colors of Scarfie, a bulky weight yarn that is wonderfully soft and fluffy (and washable!)
• starting at the top with a garter tab, this shawl grows quickly with its alternating stockinette and garter stripes using two-complementary shades of a bulky yarn
• yarn-overs are worked either side of a “center seam”
• the shawl is finished with a mock-cable ribbed edge which allows for a clean, flat edge with some knitting interest to keep you from getting bored!
• NOTE: always slip-as-if-to-purl the first stitch of EVERY row
