Straight Up Top is a halterneck top, tied with a bow. The tie-strings can also be used as straps attached to the back. The top has a tight fit on the chest. The body after the chest is made from a peplum skirt starting efter the chest or by the waist.
The pattern is a delicate striped structure, made of stockinette stitch and purl rows and also the shift between 1 and 2 strands of yarn.

The tie-strings are worked as i-chords and continue straight into the chest pieces, which are shaped by increases in each side and worked individually. When joining the pieces the i-cords continue on the back piece, while at the same time working increases, establishing the stitches of the back piece. Now the top is worked in the round while at the same time working decreases on each side of each side seam, shaping the chest and ensuring a nice fit. When the chest piece reaches just below the bust or to the waist, increases for the peplum skirt is worked. The peplum skirt is finished with a rolled hem.

Choice of size
The top has a negtive ease of 2-7 / 5-10 cm. This means you should choose a size measuring 2-7 cm less than your chest circumference if you are a size XS-M, and 5-12 cm less than your chest circumference if you are a size L-XXXL. If you are between two sizes I would recommend going down a size.
