Strand Socks — named for both the shoreline and a single strand of yarn — is a cuff-down sock pattern featuring a harmonious blend of cables, lace, and garter stitch. The heel is worked with a heel flap, heel turn, and gusset. The main pattern is for the socks version, and a bonus recipe for the toeless version (see page 8) is also included. The stitch patterns are charted only. Helpful video tutorial links and resources are included. Instructions for working cables without a cable needle are also included.

Recommended ease: 4.5 cm / 2“ of negative ease at foot circumference, 3 cm / 1.25“ of negative ease at leg circumference, 1.5-2 cm/¾-1” of negative ease at sock sole length

Strand Socksはケーブル模様やガーター編みを組み合わせた透かし編みがきれいな履き口から編む靴下です。つま先やかかとのガーター編みに透かし編みが合流するところが波打ち際のように見えるので、「浜辺」と「糸」の意味を持つ「Strand」をパターンの名前にしました。
かかとはヒールフラップ、引き返し編み、まちで構成されています。ボーナスレシピとして、かかとカバーの編み方も収録 (8ページ参照)。模様編みはチャート(編み図)形式で掲載。動画解説リンク付。交差編みはなわ編み針を使わない方法も紹介しています。

・足囲: 約18 (19) cm
・レッグ周囲: 約17.5 (18.5) cm
・フットとレッグの丈: 調整可能

レッグ・フットの1周の目数: 60 (64) 目
推奨のフィット寸法: 足囲で約4.5cm、レッグ周囲で約3cm、足底の長さで約1.5～2cmを、ヌード寸法より小さく仕上げるとよい。

Note: 作例はサイズ1を着用。ヌード寸法は足囲22.5cm、レッグ周囲20.5cm。
