A beanie with beetles among garden plants worked in stranded colorwork in the lower section, and a decorative pattern to represent beetle tracks in the crown. It can be work in 2 or 3 colors.

Knitted in the round this is an intermediate pattern if you already know how to knit stranded colorwork and this pattern assumes that you do know how to knit stranded colorwork. If you have not knitted stranded colorwork before then this is an experienced level pattern.

Instructions are given for head sizes 21” (53 cm), 22” (56 cm) and 23” (58 cm) as follows 21” (22”, 23”)
These correspond to small, medium and large adult sizes.

Yarn:
Fingering weight yarn.
MC: (background color)
CC1: (garden plant color) Note: CC in the instructions refers to either CC1 or CC2, your choice.
CC2: (beetle color) CC2 is optional. You can use CC1 in its place.
You will need less yardage if you use 1 color instead of 2 for CC
