Stranded Stripe Throw
Field Guide No. 13: Master Class is a choose-your-own adventure!
The unabashed exuberance of this epic project celebrates so many of the things we love about Kaffe Fassett. For starters, his all-in approach: 24 motifs, from simple geometry to curvy vases, and 18 colors. No problem.
You will find yourself under the spell of these patterns. It’s a joyride of rhythmic colorwork knitting.
Note: In this pattern, we show yarn colors and quantities to replicate the photography sample, but we also heartily endorse the idea of gathering up a bunch of colors of Felted Tweed and playing with these motifs to create your own magical Kaffe creation.
Field Guide No. 13 contains Kaffe’s charts for each of these stranded stripes, so you can mix and match them to your heart’s content.

Notes
When working stranded knitting, wherever possible, do not carry floats more than 6 stitches without trapping them. To trap a float, lay the non-working yarn over the working yarn, then work the next stitch with the working yarn. To preserve drape, do not trap floats more often than necessary. If color will be used again within the next 10 rounds, carry color loosely up the WS; otherwise, cut color.
