Strandschal
I designed this wrap for a friend who is very fond of the beaches and the sea of La Gomera. Choosing a blue variegated yarn to match the canarian blue seas together with a natural white yarn standing for the beaches, I added a lace pattern symbolising starfishes.
And these maritime references are the reason why I called the wrap “Strandschal” - Beach wrap.
To make this wrap, you will need two colours, 450 m each, to match the original size. The number of skeins will depend on the yardage of the yarn you select.
The colour you start with will be the colour that will be closer to your face when wearing the wrap.
It offers a variety of options to wear, while the light weight yarn will keep you warm without being heavy.
Enjoy knitting!
