Strausserl
This knee height socks are knit toe-up and feature a traditional Austrian lace and cables pattern which extends down the leg and a unique heel construction (the same which is used in my Salis Socks pattern, it has got no name yet). The calf shaping features leaves and flowers.
Sizing
One size, please go up/down on needle size to adjust leg and foot circumference. Length of foot, leg and calf position are adjustable.
Ankle length modifications
The pattern tells you to start the calf section after 9cm or as soon as the ankle is long enough to cover your leg up to the start of your calf increase. Please make sure to work the leg section until you reach that point to make sure your socks will be truly kneeheights.
You can use every fingering weight yarn for this pattern, although solid or semisolid colors show the pattern best. Yarns in rather busy colors or self-striped yarns might not be the best choice.
