Three buttons, 5/8 in. (6 mm) diameter

Yoke and sleeves are knit in one piece, from sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff. Stitches are then picked up along lower edges of yoke for back and fronts.

Worked in garter stitch throughout. Design features rectangular shapes.

Cardigan finishing: Fold piece in half along shoulders. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons opposite buttonholes.

Ed. note: Pattern can be adapted for boys or girls (reverse buttons/buttonholes).
