Streamside Scarf or Cowl
This pattern was originally published as the June pattern in Twisted’s 2013 Mad About Tosh Club.
Inspired by the yarn’s delicate color, I chose a wave-like pattern that reminded me of a sun-dappled stream. I imagined sitting in the woods, watching leaves fall into the water and pass by, and so I added a sturdier leaf lace as the second motif.
The cowl is designed to bring the two together, with the leaves folding over the water’s edge when it is worn doubled. Another option is to work this as a scarf without sewing it together at the end.
Skill level – Scarf: Advanced beginner (Lace).
Cowl: Intermediate (Lace, Provisional Cast On, Kitchener Stitch).
Size/Finished measurements – One size fits most. Approx. 7” wide, 68” long.
