Inspired by the streets of the Edinburgh Colonies, the Streets Hat uses ribbing and cables to create a rhythmic pattern.

It’s a hat for all weathers - warm but lightweight; with sizing to suit all ages and genders.

Designed for the Colony of Artists Festival 2021, the Streets Hat celebrates the architectural planning of the Edinburgh Colonies. The allover ribbed pattern is interspersed with cable twists which represent the gardens that flank each side of the narrow roads and create the unique setting that the Colonies enjoy.

Simple but evocative, the Streets Hat comes in sizes from newborn to adult and is knit in the round from the bottom up in yarn dyed in the Abbeyhill Colonies by Ginger Twist.

Knit in Ginger’s Hand-dyed DK yarns, you can choose between the Masham Mayhem DK (75% Blue Faced Leicester/ 25% British Masham) or Sheepish DK (100% Blue Faced Leicester). Sample is knit in the colour ‘Factory Girls’.
