Striation Stole
The Striation Stole pairs a smoothly plied wool yarn with a fuzzy chainette alpaca-blend yarn to create a bold, geometric design. The intarsia method is used to work the center diamond, but the rest of the patterning is just simple stripes. This stole is worked on the bias from corner to corner.

NOTES
-
This stole is worked back and forth in rows on the bias, from one corner at a short side diagonally to one corner on the opposite short side. The natural bias of the stole makes it a parallelogram, but it can be blocked to a rectangle easily.
-
The vertical stripes featured in the center of the stole are worked using the intarsia method. Join a new strand of yarn for each block of color, and twist yarns at each color change to avoid holes.
-
A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
