String Jumper with Raglan Sleeves
by Isobel
This pattern is
available for free.
Cherry red wooden buttons, and a scarf, one half knitted in Marina blue, and the other in red, give a most attractive finish to a short-sleeve string jumper, directions for which are given here.
The jumper may also be made in two-ply wool and will work up to the same size as given here for the cotton yarn.
Measurements: Bust 34, full length 21, sleeves 9 in. underarm.
Tension: Seven sts. to 1 in. in width, ten rows to 1in.
Materials required: Five ounces of Court thread cotton yarn (equivalent to 2-ply wool), 1 pair each of No. 11 and 14 needles, 1 bone crochet hook, and 4 wooden buttons.
