A simple string bag for the market. Worked in the round beginning at the bottom. Pattern is also written for 10ply cotton. Very stretchy bag so wouldn’t do any larger than indicated on pattern. If you’re concerned about the bag swinging and hitting the ground as you walk, make the main body shorter. Pictured samples done in Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton but any 8ply (DK) or 10ply (WW) will do. A very forgiving pattern and great for those beginners looking for a new challenge.
