Note
Striped sweater knitted in the round from bottom up. Body is knitted in the round from bottom up to
underarm, then front and back are separated and worked flat separately. Sleeves are knitted in the
round from cuff and attached to body with mattress stitch. Lastly, stitches are picked up around the
neck edge and collar is worked in 2x2 rib then folded inward and secured to body.

イギリス海峡のガンジー島で漁師が愛用していたガンジーセーター。前後の形が同じで動きやすいように脇にはマチがあるのが特徴です。英国羊毛のシェットランドウールで編む編み地は暖かく、繰り返し着るごとに柔らかく馴染んでいき、長く育てていける１枚になりそうです。ボーダーの幅や色を変えて自分好みに仕上げてくださいね。
