Striped Hummingbird Wrap
As delicate as a hummingbird and just as graceful, this stunning wrap drips and drapes around the shoulders in an endless variety of shapes.
Eye-catching in both colour and design, the Hummingbird wrap will draw attention to any outfit. Surprisingly easy to knit, it is even suitable for confident beginners.
Yarn and Materials –
100g ‘Cloud Forest Yarns’ 4 ply yarn or similar in colour A.
100g ‘Cloud Forest Yarns’ 4 ply yarn or similar in colour B.
50g ‘Cloud Forest Yarns’ 4 ply yarn or similar in contrasting colour.
(Sample uses 100% Fine Merino in ‘Linen’, ‘Graphite’ and contrast in ‘Merlot’.
4.5mm (US 7) circular needles on at least a 100cm (39”) cable.
Yarn needle to sew in ends.
4 stitch markers.

Sizing –
One size. Sample is approx. 53cm (21”) at its deepest, 230cm (90”) at its widest and the top edge is 105cm (41”) when blocked.
Gauge –
18 sts x 24 rows for
10cm (4”) on 4.5mm (US 7) needles.
Abbreviations –
St/Sts – Stitch / Stitches.
RS / WS – right side / wrong side.
K1 – Knit one stitch.
P1 – Purl one stitch.
M – Marker.
PM – Place marker.
SM – Slip marker.
M1L – (make 1 left) With left needle tip, lift strand between sts from front to back and knit into back of the loop.
M1R – (make 1 right) With left needle tip, lift strand between sts from back to front and knit into front of the loop.
