Simple Stockinette Stitch scarf shows off the yarn. Design begins with seed stitch edge, then continues with narrow stripes, vertical stripes and wide stripes, ending with another seed stitch end. Garter stitch side borders are worked in same colors as stripes. Five colors of Zealana’s “Rimu” yarn: R3, R13, R101, R4 and R33.
Yarn amount with 5 skeins is 700 yards, plenty for the long scarf and a striped slouchy hat (hat pattern is “Easygoing” from Celebrity Slouchy Beanies by Lisa Gentry).
