Pattern Description from Victorian Lace Today: “Stripes were very fashionable in Victorian England. Even the blinds at Queen Victoria’s summer residence on the Isle of Wight had blue and white stripes. So, it’s appropriate that this shawl features panels of open diamond pattern framed by a bold border.”
