Inspired by a rainy night in the pacific rainforest, when nocturnal creatures come out to hunt. This stranded colorwork shawl features a majestic barred owl, delicate douglas fir branches, and scattered rain drops, worked with a unique construction with a steeked edge and lined stockinette backing

Yarn
Berroco Lanas Light (100% wool) shown in colorways 78134 (MC, 720 yards) and 78102 (CC2, 728 yards), and Spincycle Dyed in the Wool (100% wool) shown in colorway Grumpy Birds (CC1, 200 yards)

Needles
US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm) 40” (100 cm) needles for magic loop, or whatever size necessary to achieve gauge

Gauge
21.5 stitches and 33 rounds over 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch using smaller needle, worked in the round, before blocking.
