Strodie
The use of contrasting welts lends this simple, stripey pullover an unusually sleek and elegant appearance. In Shetland dialect, a strodie is a lane between two walls, or a grassy strip, separating two areas of cultivated ground.

Pattern notes
This easy-fitting raglan pullover is worked bottom up and in the round, following a pattern of stockinette and welted stripes in a contrasting shade. Body and sleeves are worked separately, then joined together, before the yoke is shaped in the round following a sequence of raglan decreases that work around the welts. Garter stitch cuffs and i-cord edgings complete the garment. Length can be added to the garment by simply working more rounds on the body in step 2. Bear in mind that if you are adding more than 2.5cm / 1in to the garment, you will need more yarn than specified.
