Studland
From Dorset with Love … a collection celebrating adventure, friendship, warmth and knitting - stitch by stitch, row by row.
After a long day exploring the beautiful coastline I wanted to snuggle down with a good book, a cup of tea and warm, cosy socks. Even the most avid adventurer needs to rest and relax …
These long socks are modelled on my favourite shop-bought socks, massively improved by the addition of wool and hand knitting – everyone loves a great pair of hand knit socks. Slightly thicker than usual, these DK socks are the ideal winter warmer socks - whether your are curled up on the couch relaxing or trudging through the snow in search of a new adventure.
Worked from the toe up, these long socks make the most of the ribbing so you can wear them pulled up for extra warmth or shuffled down for a casual Sunday-afternoon relaxing vibe. The leg is worked using different needle sizes to give extra room for calves, while the ankle benefits from the snugness of twisted rib, ensuring a comfortable but practical fit.
