Subdivision: a planned community, a section or department, a cowl that depicts our houses, row upon row.

Subdivision is knit circularly in fingering or sport weight yarns, and uses texture and slipped stitches as well as lace and colour changes.

Pattern instructions are written, with lace motif instructions in written and chart form.

Four versions are offered: Ticky Tacky Subdivision (striped - 5 colours; double loop); Boring Subdivision (solid with small accents - 2 colours double loop); Burning Subdivision (self-striping - 1 colour, single skein; double loop but shorter); Executive Estate (luxury yarn - 3 colors; single loop).

Many yarn options would work well in this pattern, from light fingering/3 ply, fingering/4ply through sport weight - worked on a 4mm needle, the fabric density will vary with yarn choice but the pattern is executable. The small amounts of accent colours (roads, dashed lines) are a great place to use up wee bits of leftovers.
