Sugarplum Shrug
Pattern description from Interweave Knits, Holiday 2007: “An easily remembered lace and straightforward hem-to-hem construction give Erika Knight’s simple Sugarplum Shrug easy, unfussy elegance. A pretty lace edging, worked separately and sewn on on during finishing, creates a softly draping collar and front bands when worn. Kid mohair and silk feel even richer in a luxuriously chunky yarn - though the finished garment is still light as air.”
Finished Size: To fit 32-34 (36-38, 40-42)“ bust.
Yarn: Rowan Kidsilk Aura (75% kid mohair, 25% silk; 82 yd 75 m/25 g): #751 putty, 6 (7, 8) balls. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers. Needles Size 8 (5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle.
Note from Interweave Knits: When attaching edging, take time to pin at intervals to ensure a flat finish.
Knit a rectangle in a luscious yarn using an easy lace pattern, sew two seams, add a knitted edging and voila!, a soft as a cloud cover up for the holidays.
