Hi everyone!
It’s been so much fun to see your Sugary Brown sweater projects, it really makes my day when I see them :) Thank you for your feedback and suggestions along the way. I’ve reviewed the pattern, made some corrections and improvements, and updated it.

This is a cozy, easy to make top-down sweater worked seamlessly in the round. It has waist shaping and a simple cable pattern for a discreet but lovely effect.
size (bust, waist, hip, biceps, wrist)
XS (31-32”, 32”, 30”, 32.8”, 11.6”, 9.2”)
S (33-34”, 34”, 31.6”, 34.8”, 12”, 9.6”)
M (35-36”, 36”, 33.2”, 36.8”, 12.6”, 10.4”)
L (37-38”, 38”, 34.8”, 38.8”, 13”, 10.8”)
XL (39-40”, 40”, 36.4”, 40.8”, 14”, 11.6”)
XXL (41-42”, 42”, 38”, 42.8”, 15”, 12.8”)
Tools:
- US 4 – 3.5mm circular needles
- US 4 – 3.5mm cable needle (US 4 - 3.5mm dpns optional for knitting the sleeves in the round. Otherwise you can just use the circular needles and work with the magic loop method)
- crochet hook and scrap yarn (for provisional cast on)
- 8 stitch markers
- tapestry needle (for weaving in the ends)
Materials: approx. 800 (900, 950, 970, 1000, 1100) m or 880 (990, 1040, 1060, 1100, 1205) yards of DK / 8 ply yarn, for example:
- Ice Yarns Master Alpaca (25% Merino)
- Wollmeise Merino DK
- Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool
Techniques:
- provisional cast on
- i-cord
- stockinette stitch
- increases (m1r and m1l) and decreases (ssk / k2tog)
- simple cables
Pattern style:
- the instructions use abbreviations which are all explained in the pattern
- cable pattern is charted only
