I’ve always been fascinated with stained glass, particularly that of Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed over 4,000 leaded glass windows and doors that featured geometric abstracts of natural elements like plants. Maybe it’s the mAth-addict in me loving the shapes, or maybe it’s my artsy side soothed by his use of iridescent, clear, and colored glass; but, like a child with a kaleidoscope, I love watching light filter through each piece. Did you know that he intentionally set some individual pieces in at an angle, so that the colors would change as the sun moved or when an interior light was turned off or on? The harmonious colors and geometric angles of his work inspired the eyelet stripes of this tunic, and the shaping at the sides.
