Summer Butterflies
A few years ago, I wrote a sock pattern called “Frozen Butterfly” in which I created a butterfly pattern by playing with cables and openwork stitches.
I really liked knitting this butterfly so I wanted to integrate it into a summer shawl so here comes the Summer Butterflies
Material Required
• Louise Robert Design | 3 skeins of Algua Marina (70% silk, 30% seacell, 250 metres (275 yds) per skein of 100g) illustrated in the color KLIMT.
• Circular needles of 4 mm (US #6), cable of + 80 cm (or size needed to obtain gauge.)

• Stitch markers
• 1 tapestry needle.
Gauge
17 sts = 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch after blocking
Dimensions
Length (measured from one point to the other) : 76 inches; 193 cm.
Height (measured in the center) : 19 inches; 50 cm.
