Cardigan body is worked bottom up in one piece to the armholes, starting with 2 x 2 ribbing then stockinette stitch. Stitches are cast off for the armholes and all stitches except left front are put on a holder.

Sleeves are also worked bottom up to the armholes like the body. The pattern connects the sleeves with the body to form a yoke.

In the yoke decreasing sleeves and body will form a raglan-look which later incorporates the lace pattern.

A neck border and then front borders are done in 2 x 2 ribbing. The front border includes 6 buttonholes.
