This pattern is in two sizes, for girls aged 4-6 and 8-10. The pattern can be used to make both a top and a dress - instructions are given where to finish off both garments. It is a pretty, sleeveless design for those warm summer days, which has gradual shaping in the skirt to form an attractive A-line garment.

Included in the pattern are hand-drawn charts for the motif that makes up the yoke, the skirt pattern and the edge pattern (as well as written instructions). A photographic tutorial is given for crochet-joining the motifs, and there is a hand-drawn schematic showing how the motifs are joined to form the yokes for both sizes.

This design is appropriate for intermediate crocheters, or adventurous beginners who know how to do ch, sc, dc, front post treble/triple crochet.

Any fingering (4 ply) cotton or cotton blend yarn could be substituted as long as the gauge can be achieved.
