Summer Lariat
This listing is for a PDF pattern for crocheted lariat and not actual lariat.
Aside as a lariat, it can be used for so many things!
Let me give you some ideas:
- headbands
- bracelets
- belts
- garlands
- curtain tiers
- gift wrappers Make it as long or short to serve your purpose.
Supplies:
sport (cotton) yarn in colors of your choice and a 3mm/(UK11) (US 10/3) hook; I was aiming at a floral lariat, hence the foundation is green and I used various variegated yarn for the flowers.
tapestry needle for weaving ends, and scissors.
Stitches: chain (ch), chain space (ch-sp), skip (sk), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble (tr). American terminology used.
Measurements of finished lariat: maker’s wish. The one in this tutorial is about 3 m long.
Note: Left over yarn is just perfect for this project. Also note that you can make it with whatever yarn weight you’d like to work. It will affect the size of the lariat. Small weights will yield petite lariats, big ones will make chunkier ones.
The lariat is worked in one go; the flowers are added once the lariat is finished.
The pattern is for personal use only and may not be distributed in any way. Please do NOT recopy, rewrite, redistribute or resell this tutorial. You may sell the products made using this pattern, but I would appreciate if you could link back to my shop. Thank you.
