Quando s’avvicina l’estate mi viene voglia di pensare a gite sui prati, pomeriggi su una spiaggia ancora non troppo affollata, o nel parco, a leggere su una panchina fra le rose. In queste occasioni ci vuole una borsa come questa, semplice e resistente, capiente, per portare tutto quello che ci serve (un libro, una bottiglietta con l’acqua, un telo per sederci sulla sabbia o sull’erba…), ma anche romantica, con un tocco quasi provenzale, o hippie, se preferite, per sentirci in sintonia con la bellezza che ci circonda. Summer of 69 è lavorata in tondo, ma partendo da un fondo fatto in piano e riprendendo intorno ad esso le maglie per realizzare il corpo. Ha una tracolla lavorata a partire dalle maglie del corpo della borsa e poi unita al centro con il metodo della chiusura con 3 ferri e, udite, udite, non prevede neanche una cucitura!

When summer gets near, I start thinking about outdoor trips on grassy fields, afternoons spent on a quiet beach or on a bench in the park, surrounded by rose bushes. For these occasions, what I need is a bag just like this one: simple but tough, big enough to carry all I need (a book, some bottled water, a cloth to sit on the sand or on the grass…), but at the same time romantic, almost Occitan in style - or hippie if you wish - to feel in harmony with the surrounding beauty. Summer of 69 is worked in the round, starting from a flat bottom and picking up stitches at the edges to work up the main body.
