Inspired by the fat droplets of much-needed rain that sometimes come in late summer, the Summer Rain Wrap is a rectangular shawl featuring a dramatic cable motif. Worked in a silky cotton, this wrap is a perfect accessory for cool summer evenings. However, the pattern is easily adjustable to add a bit more width for a warmer wool wrap to take you into the fall and beyond. A simple garter border ties it all together.

Level: Intermediate. This pattern uses several simple cables involving both knits and purls. The cable panels are both written and charted.

Dimensions: 15 x 80”/38 x 203 cm. Tips are given for where to add stitches to increase width, and wrap can be worked to desired length.

Yarn: 1175 yd worsted/aran (4) weight yarn. Sample used Berroco Modern Cotton in Piper.
