PATTERN NOTES
Worked in 2 halves. Top half is worked first, then bottom half is crocheted onto beginning edge of top half to become the center of table runner. Surface stitches overlap center joining to continue an uninterrupted flow of motifs.
Do not remove markers until instructed.
Work over loose ends as work progresses but leave enough tail to double back with needle to weave into worked-over part to help keep ends secure during washing.
Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
First row of top half of runner may appear too tight until bottom half is worked.
Post stitches can be worked around posts in whatever manner is comfortable unless otherwise stated.
“Surface stitch” refers to a front or back post stitch used to create lines and stems.
