This is a simple pattern, with the crossed details giving interest & a lovely texture. Worked in the round, there is no sewing involved at all. The main body of the skirt is a straight fit, but with the ruffle hem & cinched in waistband, it has a lovely shape. The design is also easily customisable in terms of fit & length, & includes seven sizes from Age 1 to 14 (hip measurement 20” to 33”)

The pattern has been thoroughly tested by a large group of fabulous testers who have tested every size to ensure accuracy & clarity. Photos or video links have been added where additional instruction may be helpful.

Materials required:

250 - 550 yards of any of any #3 weight dk yarn. Yarn pictured is King Cole Cottonsoft Crush dk.
4mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge)
Tapestry needle & scissors
2 stitch markers

Sizing: The pattern includes seven sizes from Age 1 to 14, actual hip circumference at widest point from 20” to 33”

Finished measurements: The skirt has a small positive ease, with finished measurements of 22.4” to 33.6”

Construction: This skirt is constructed from the bottom up in the round. The ruffle hem is then crocheted directly around the bottom. the optional waistband tie is made separately & threaded through the waistband at the end.

Gauge: With a 4mm hook in the two row pattern repeat, 15 stitches by 8 rows = 10cm by 10cm square
