This afghan consists of 6 large blocks worked in stockinette stitch. A horseshoe cable pattern connects the blocks. Each sun is made unique by using a different edging for the sun’s circumference. This is a major example of “thinking outside the box” in using different edgings. The pleasant faces are worked in duplicate stitch after the pieces are knit. The outer border is garter stitch with a color change. This delightful creation really brightens a room. Each square is 21 inches x 21 inches/53.5cm x 53.5cm. The afghan is 46 inches x 69 inches/117cm x 175cm when finished.
