Sunflower Pillow
My sunflower pillow is composed of nine sunflower granny squares. I like crocheting 3D flower granny squares, so I thought it would be fun to crochet some sunflower ones for a summer pillow. The second to last round of each square is pink because I had to add a little bit of pink! You could also change the colors in the pillow to make different types of flowers if you would like. The back side is simply a traditional granny square.
I used Rowan Summerlite DK yarn for this pillow in the following shades: 1 nutkin, 1 summer, 1 linen, 1 plaster, and 2 rouge. However, any dk weight yarn should work! You will also need a 14 by 14 in (35 by 35 cm) square pillow insert and 5 buttons (1.5 cm in diameter). The written pattern includes round by round pictures for the granny square and a few other pictures to explain the steps. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
