Sunset is a casual sweater intended to be worn with approximately 6´´ / 15cm positive ease. The Sweater is worked in Stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette stitch. The different stitch pattern makes is more interesting to work and gives a modern style.
contruction:
SunSet is an easy to work seamless, top down Sweater. You´ll start with the upper back, shaping the neckline and the shoulder slope with short rows and work the upper back down to the base of the armhole in rows back and forth. Then stitches are placed on hold. For the upper front stitches are picked up from the back and the upper front is worked similar to the upper back. Then front and back are joined and the body is worked down to the hem in rounds. To avoid lots of purling the lower body is worked from the inside. The color change of the stripes is hidden by a slip stitch line.
When the body is finished, stitches for the sleeves are picked up and the sleeves are worked in the round down to the cuff. The right sleeve shows an accent by a contrasting color (in the sample I used some Beaded Silk and Sequins by Artyarns). The left sleeve is worked from the inside to avoid purling and shows a slip stitch line to hide the color change. In the last step stitches for the neckline are picked up and the neckline is worked.

The prototype for this sweater was SunSet2 , which shows another color combination.

Yarn: Any yarn that gives you the proper gauge. Any DK weight yarn (approximately 200m/220yds per 100g) will work well) in two different colors. Optional a contrasting color for the right sleeve and the neckline.
Sample is knitted from Dyeforyarn Merino Silk, colors sunken cocktail cherry and red hot metal. Every skein was overweighed with 113g.

Skills: knit, purl, German short rows

SunSet ist Pullover mit einer leicht überschnittenen Schulter, bequemer Mehrweite und wenigen Kontrasten als kleines Highlight. Die schmalen Streifen werden glatt rechts und glatt links gestrickt. Kombinieren Sie ihre Lieblingsfarben und geben Sie dem Pullover durch eine weitere Kontrastfarbe, mit oder ohne Glitzer eine persönliche Note.
SunSet wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt. Beginnend mit dem Rückenteil werden zunächst die Schulterschrägungen und der Ausschnitt mit verkürzten Reihen geformt und dann das Rückenteil gerade bis zum Armausschnitt gestrickt. Die Maschen werden stillgelegt und Maschen für das Vorderteil werden aufgenommen bzw. angeschlagen. Der vordere Halsausschnitt und die Schulterschrägen werden ähnlich dem Rückenteil gearbeitet und anschließend wird das Vorderteil bis zum Armausschnitt gearbeitet. Rücken- und Vorderteil werden verbunden und in Runden weitergestrickt. Um das Stricken vieler linker Maschen zu vermeiden, wird der untere Körper wie auch später der linke Ärmel von der Innenseite her gestrickt.
Für die Ärmel werden die Maschen aus den Ärmelkanten des Körpers aufgenommen und die Ärmel werden in Runden gestrickt.
