Sunset Vibes Top
I have a new free pattern for you, the Sunset Vibes Crochet Top! This one was a collaboration with Hobbii, but with everything that happened this summer I just didn’t get it out as fast as intended. But that’s okay, we’re here now and that’s all that matters.
This is probably one of my favorite designs of the year. The theme was “Urban Exploration” and the second I saw this yarn I KNEW it was going to be based off of a Seattle sunset. (I took this photo on my roof this summer!)
Okay so the yarn - it’s called Mohair Delight from Hobbii and I think it’s also my favorite new yarn of the year so far, and like it’s the end of October, I don’t think it has to worry about losing that spot. This is 50% acrylic 50% mohair, you get 146 yards per ball, and its a solid worsted weight yarn. There is a perfect halo with this yarn, and damn is it soft. And side note: I tested this in knitting and Tunisian crochet and it all looks magical.
This is a “one size” pattern with generous modification capabilities. You measure your arm span and work from that number. You can add length or shorten the body, same for the arms, add ribbing to the top and the bottom and the sleeves, or leave it off. This is just a simple base for any customization you want to do.
Top of shoulder to bottom of shirt - 9 inches
Wrist to wrist - 55 inches
