Super Chunky Colour Block Hat - Digital PDF Knitting Pattern

Knit your own hat to keep you comfy in the cold, in super chunky wool. This is one of my favourite easy knit projects, with a few colour changes and a giant pompom! You can mix and match colours to make your perfect cosy hat.

This project can be knitted on straight or circular needles, making it great for beginners and experienced crafters. The pattern is knitted flat on 9mm (US 13) straight needles, however this could easily be adapted to circular needles by changing all P rows to K rows. If knitting in the round, with circular needles, use a 40cm (16in) cord or 80cm (31 ½ in) cord using the magic loop technique.

The recommended yarns are Sincerely Louise X Cygnet Yarns, which have now been brought into the main Cygnet Seriously Chunky range. These can easily be subbed for other super chunky yarns that achieve the same tension of 8 stitches and 11 rows = 10 cm (4in) on 9mm (US 13) knitting needles.

• Main Colour - 1x 100g balls of Cygnet Seriously Chunky - super chunky - 100% acrylic yarn
• Contrast Colour for rim of hat - 1x 100g balls of Cygnet Seriously Chunky - super chunky - 100% acrylic yarn
• Bobble Colour - 1x 100g balls of Cygnet Seriously Chunky - super chunky - 100% acrylic yarn
• 9mm (US 13) straight knitting needles
• Plastic sewing up needle

SKILL LEVEL: Easy for knitters who know the basics

STITCHES USED: Knit, Purl, Increasing (Kfb), Decreasing (K2tog), mattress stitch for sewing up
