I know you can buy self-striping yarn for striped socks, but sometimes you just want a nice thick knit stripe that can only be achieved by carrying the independent colours through. These socks are cozy, thick, and quick to knit, and make the cold weather seem a little warmer.

Sizing notes:
S(M/L/XL) = foot circumference: 6(7/8/9) in., foot length: 6.5-7.5(7.5-8.5/8.5-10/10-11.5) in.
In American shoe sizing:
S = women’s 6,
M = women’s 7/8 or men’s 6/7
L = women’s 9/9.5 or men’s 8
XL = women’s 10 or men’s 9/9.5
To make men’s size 10/11, use sz 5mm needles.

Socks require 3-100g balls worsted weight yarn and 4mm double-pointed needles (or 5mm if making men’s size 10/11).

Also, these socks result in a jogless stripe and feature an alternating wrapped stitch heel flap.
