Superwoman Brioche Shawl
This shawl is a blend of cozy brioche and interesting techniques. It’s enjoyable for both project knitters and process knitters.
I named this the Superwoman shawl because of the original colors, but also because it is an intense knit with multiple advanced techniques: 2 color brioche that is worked flat, brioche lace, and vertically stranded colorwork.
I have included tutorials for the brioche lace and vertically stranded colorwork, since I know they are not commonly known techniques. Once you have the techniques down, the actual shawl is a simple repeat that you can continue until you run out of yarn to make the shawl as big as you please.
As a shawl, gauge is not critical. It can also be made in any weight of yarn to give it a different texture or thickness. You will need equal amounts of the light-side and dark-side colors. Then about 1/4th that amount in the contrasting color, which is used for the edges and the central “S” motif.
