If you’re not from Australia, you may not know that the wonderful St Nick travels to our sun-rich island on a Surfboard! As it is so hot during Christmas time, he cannot possibly wear his bulky traditional suit. So instead he wears his shorts and thongs!

This crochet pattern features Surfing Santa, his sack and presents. The pattern is in PDF format and 13 pages long. It includes detailed instructions and lots of colour photos to help you along the way.

DIMENSIONS:

From the tip of his hat to his toes, St Nick measures approx 8.5 inches. His presents are an inch tall. However, this may vary depending on your yarn, hook and/or tension.

MATERIALS:

• DMC Natura Just Cotton Yarn (or yarn of your choice)
• White wool roving or bulky ‘woolly yarn’ for beard and hair
• 2.25mm and 2.75mm Crochet Hooks
• 7.5mm Safety Eyes
• Polyfiber Fill for the stuffing
• Tapestry Needle
• Scissors
• A stitch marker

DIFFICULTY:

Confident Beginner/Intermediate. It assumes you know how to do the basic single crochet, increase and invisible decrease. Some basic sewing skills required.
