- 1/8-inch bulky (chunky) weight nylon cord: 3 5 yds (available at many craft stores and sporting-good stores. Also called paracord)
- Size K/101/2/6.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
- Sturdy closure or clasp (available at hardware or sporting-good stores)
- Heat gun
