This cowl begins with a provisional cast-on, and then dives into the series of non-repeating charts that celebrate the beauty of hand-dyed, multi-color yarn by pairing it with a deliciously rich solid. Once the charted portion of the cowl is completed, it’s time to divide and conquer by working flat with mirrored decreases on the right side of each row. For the finale, pick up those cast-on stitches to add a beautifully classic I-cord bind off.

Using the technique of locked floats will add to your success with this project, but it is not necessary. Swag is an ideal pattern for the practice of locking floats while working both flat and in the round.
