Swallowtail Socks
Swallowtail butterflies are such spectacular creatures, ethereal and regal, just like the colours Meaghan of Bramble Ridge Yarns created for this pattern.
Designed with sock sets in mind…or favourite leftovers….there is a little bit of stranded colourwork at the toe and then rhythmic and intuitive texture on the foot and leg of socks. No cables here, or special stitches or techniques. Just yarn overs and decreases, and after working the pattern repeat once…I no longer needed the instructions! Fancy looking but still TV knitting.
The socks are worked toe-up, in the round, and have a gusset and heel flap construction. I prefer magic loop, but use whichever in the round method you prefer.
Directions are written, with the colour work being presented in chart format. Pattern comes in 3 sizes.
