Bruges, in Belgium, is known for its grand tradition of gorgeous bobbin lace. With Bruges crochet lace, an echo of bobbin lace, a long strip of double crochet is joined to other parts of the strip with chains and slip stitches at the beginning of each row as the strip dances to and fro. The slow striping yarn takes full advantage of the twists and turns that the strip makes. (Interweave)

Finished Size: 74” wide, 25” long with top trim.

Yarn: Crystal Palace Yarns Mini-Mochi (80% machine washable merino, 20% nylon; 195 yd [180 m]/1 3/4 oz [50 g]; CYCA#1): #312 seafoam, 5 skeins.

Hook Size: E/4 (3.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: One 5-dc strip with ch-7 lps on either side = 2”; 20 dc and 10 dc rows = 4” after steam blocking.
