A simple beanie hat with a band of stranded colourwork ,designed to show off a multicoloured yarn paired with a semi-solid.

Instructions for knitting a hat for a 24”, 22” or 20” head are included.

You will need to know how to:

Cast on
Knit twisted stitches
Knit and purl
Knit stranded colourwork
Decrease

I used 35m of Bona Yarns Big Boy DK in ‘Wild n Wonderful’ (the multi) and 115m of Bona Yarns Big Boy DK in ‘Nightshift’.

Big Boy DK is a woollen-spun, non-superwash 100% Corriedale yarn, with a generous 300m per 100g.
