This is the blanket I designed for Debbie Bliss’ blanket competition. Fusing art/craft and culture is a passion of mine. To me, the Russian Doll was a perfect symbol for the innocence of a baby and the perfect canvas to add sweet, intricate feminine detailing and adornments. This blanket was exhilarating to design and an honour to be chosen as first place.
