When it comes to yarn, knitters are like kids in a candy store. We want it all and we want it now. The Sweet Shop hat was specifically designed for those thrilling colors that you cannot imagine putting back on the shelf. Knit in the round from the bottom up, this slouchy hat is great for beginners and expert knitters alike. The stretchy stitch pattern is fun to knit and extremely forgiving for knitters who don’t like stressing over gauge. Using just a single skein of yarn, it can be knit with speckles, variegated, gradient, or solid yarn. To create soft, fuzzy stripes like mine, hold a strand of mohair with the main yarn. Change the color of your mohair yarn to create delicious rainbow drama.

The hat is designed to fit with 0-2” (0-5cm) of NEGATIVE ease. If you are planning to hold your MC and mohair together while you knit, you will need mohair in yards/meters equal to that of your MC. Yarn requirements listed below are for MC ONLY.

NOTE: This hat is extremely stretchy. Size SMALL will fit most babies through small children (head circumference 16-18 inches (40.5-46 cm). Size MEDIUM will fit most older children through adult small (head circumference 18-21 inches (46-53.5 cm). Size LARGE will fit an average adult through large adult (head circumference 21.5-23.5 inches 55-60 cm).
