Sweet Sue Cabled Lace Scarf
Sweet Sue is a scarf worked in an allover garter-stitch lace pattern with large cables to provide interest. It is completely reversible.
Yarn: You will need approximately 180 yards of a sport-weight yarn that drapes well (such as bamboo, silk, or a blend including one or both) for best results. (Pictured: Argosy Luxury Yarns Bonsai Bamboo in Purple Haze – sport, 1 skein / 60g / 195 yards, 20% bamboo/65% superfine merino wool/15% silk)
Supplies:
- US size 8 needles
- US size 8 cable needle or other cabling method of your choice
- tapestry needle
- blocking pins
Finished Measurements: Finished scarf will measure approximately 3 inches wide at the narrowest point, approximately 9 inches wide at the widest point, and approximately 52 inches long. Instructions for lengthening or shortening the scarf are included.
