Switchback Scarf
This scarf pattern by Karla Stuebing is one of six patterns available in the Fall 2011 issue of ColorKnits, a revolutionary digital eMag from Interweave. The Switchback Scarf gives knitters a challenge: keeping track of both color progression and stitch pattern, and trying to keep them in sync. The diagonals of the color progressions are enhanced by a lace pattern that is soft, sweet, and cerebral in its mathematical progression. A garter version of this scarf is available for those who want to tackle only one thing at a time.
